MAIN HALL (various tables)

12-5pm – FREE Screen printing by Warren Wilson College students. Bring your own shirt to be printed with the Asheville Zine Fest design. Forgot your shirt? Tote bags will also be available for purchase.

12-5pm – Youth Table – Drop-in style for zinesters 18 and under to sell or display zines they’ve made (the zinester must stay at the table while they are sharing their work, but it’s not necessary to stay the whole time).

12-5pm – Makers’ Table – Make your own zine with provided collage materials and tools! With support from Buncombe County Libraries Special Collections.

12-5 – RISO MiScreen demo – Bring your own one color art work on a thumb drive and see your art go from digital to screen print in minutes with Elle Wilburn. Asheville Zine Fest designs will be also be available for sale and to print.

12-5 – Riso Printing with Woolly Press – stop by the the Woolly Press table to see a Risograph EZ 390 in action and ask all your burning riso questions.

WORKSHOP ROOM

1-2pm – Haiku Workshop – Pippa Phillips will lead a workshop on haiku. Workshop attendees will learn how to use juxtaposition, kigo words, and Japanese aesthetics like wabi sabi and mono no aware. Free, all materials provided, and for all ages.

2-3pm – Zine Reading – Vendors share their work with a reading and showing of their zine(s)!

3-4pm – The CardStock Project CraftUP! Workshop – The CardStock Project is a visual arts-engaged public scholarship that takes stock of women’s work. This CraftUP! (interactive workshop) invites adult participants to hand make a notebook using archival images of women at work published between 2020 – 2026 to take stock of their own work or to give to someone whose work helps. Free and all materials provided.

4-5pm – Zine Reading – Vendors share their work with a reading and showing of their zine(s)!
